What Vaccines Are Recommended for Adults?
- The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) comprises medical and public health experts who develop recommendations on the use of vaccines in the civilian population of the United States.
- All adults should make sure they’re up to date on these routine vaccines:
- COVID-19
- Influenza
- Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, and whooping cough) or Td (tetanus, diphtheria) vaccines
- Older adults, 65 years of age plus, should also receive pneumococcal and shingles (zoster) vaccines.
- Depending on health condition or travel plans, additional vaccines may be needed.
